My tutor's badgered me into writing my personal statement now that I have to do one for my foundation course at the University of Northhampton...

I'M SHITTING MYSELF. D:

I honestly have no idea what to write. All I ever do is draw, all day. That's all my life seems to revolve around, I have no job, no experience, no hobbies. How can I make myself sound appealing when I don't think I am??

Not only that but I drank more than I should have yesterday afternoon and I'm fucking tired as hell. 8D''

Help!!

EDIT: Studential is a pile of shit and does nothing to help.

Well, that's depressing...

I haven't submitted anything in like...two months.

Alas, college has kind of been sucking the life out of me lately. But the plus side is that I have a notebook full of lovelies to show you, as well as some stuff from my new one that's rapidly filling up.

However, I'd rather like to catch up on sleep tonight since I have to be vaguely sociable for the sake of my boyfriend tomorrow lol. But I promise you I'll have them up over the weekend.

I LOVE YOU ALL. <3

Yay!

So, I've got me a few commissions on the way, I think! Awesome new landlady at the pub next door- who is apparently a great patron of art- saw me scribbling last night, and excitedly asked me if I'd be interested in doing something for her.

Went to see her for a couple of hours this afternoon, discussed what she wants exactly after going over a shitload of my sketchbooks which she seemed to like- should have some sketches done for next Friday, then we can talk monayz. 8D

*happy*

So!

As it's that glorious month of October, where everything starts to turn orange and crispy, yet it's fucking freezing...

...what're we all doing for Halloween?

I myself was planning on throwing a fancy dress party, but that's kind of fell through. Damnit. (As such, I can't be bothered to make Queenie now. I might make her as a project at college next term though.)

So now I'm on the lookout for someone else's party to go gatecrash lol! This time, I'm thinking of doing the Bride of Frankenstein. I figured I'd get a couple of huge white sheets, sew them together as best I can et voila! Curl and backcomb my hair like mad (hopefully having dyed it black), a metric ton of hairspray and a shitload of bandages and safety pins. Sounds good?

Anyway, what are you doing this year?? Anything? Nothing? Tell me!

Well....

...since my tablet's a bit ill as am I...

I think it's time for a meme, don't you?

Write out the names of your characters and explain:
1.) How you thought of their name.
2.) What made you create the character in the first place.
3.) How the character has changed over time (If they have changed).
4.) Any random fun fact about that character.

Hunter:

1&2.) I...um...kind of nicked the name and likeness from a really lame series of books called Wicca. It's like Twilight only with witches and slightly better. (Pale skin, blond, Irish...) I was like, 12 at the time, shut up. Oh and I also first came up with him when I used to write bad Artemis Fowl fanfics in my spare time. 8D That and vampires are awesome.

3.)However, I've tried to come up with some supremely different personalities for him over the years and he's mellowed out a lot more than he used to be. Still working out the kinks though.

4.)He smokes like a chimney but thinks drinking is for imbeciles. Go figure.

Solitaire:

1.) Lol I think I was listening to Solitaire Unraveling by Mushroomhead a LOT at the time...is awesome track btw. And has a big Trojan rabbit in the video. C'mon, that's just rad. [link]

2.) More of my unoriginal thinking here- anyone remember the Judderman advert? [link] I've loved it since I was a kid and has forever stuck with me since I first saw it; has that feeling of Gothic fairytale that German Expressionism seems to encompass, which is quite obviously the inspiration here. (See, it's educational!) I think I also remember seeing a picture of Ryuuk from Death Note before I knew who he was and thought he looked quite spiffy.

3.) He's kind of had a few makeovers- gone from looking more like the Judderman to a Regency gentleman...he's in between there now. I'm still not sure what he is exactly, apart from some sort of demon. He's usually looked like a living doll though, what with all the stitches and exaggerated features. His temperament also seems to have ranged from being sadistic and cruel to morbidly curious but with good intentions...I think I prefer the latter.

4.) His boyfriend is a pretty girl.

Archie:

1.) He's a mechanic and he's Scottish. 8D I WAS going to call him Duncan at first, but I liked Archie more- possibly because it just rolls off the tongue beautifully in a Scottish accent. ;3 (Amirite Rach? ;DDD)

2.) I was watching a charity appeal for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and I remember seeing one of the male nurses and noticing his uniform...and as I was big into StEx at the time, I figured I should design a repair truck since I didn't have one yet.

3.) He hasn't, I don't think! Just your average hot-blooded bloke, really. Has strong ideas about right and wrong and very loyal to his friends and family. :3 He is actually fairly good at his job, though he doesn't show it as he seems to be asleep at his workbench half the time.

4.) I'm sure there's an element of myself in there too, but he's definitely not a self insert by any means.

I have some minor OCs knocking about in my noggin but those three are my babies. :3
